Another team that has been crippled by playing a crushing schedule, the Seawolves never threatened the .500 mark in the old WCHA days under Dave Shyiak. This past season, in the new WCHA under the leadership of Matt Thomas, UAA rebounded to a solid 18-16-4 mark. Even in the days of the old WCHA, the Seawolves enjoyed a .583 record out of conference. With a new conference, a more reasonable schedule and new leadership the future looks bright for the boys from Anchorage.
